Imagine using a cleansing balm that leave your skin clean, clear and soft after every cleanse!
Let's find out what is a cleansing balm and how to incorporate it into your skincare routine.
It is a type of balm that is anhydrous and used to cleanse the skin off dirt, makeup and grime. Anhydrous means it is made up of oils, wax and oil-soluble ingredients.
The difference between the normal balm and a cleansing one is, the latter is a wash-off product so it usually does not contain any cosmetic actives.
There are so many types sold in the market now!
It cleanses the same way your water-based cleanser does. The only difference is, it is oil-based!
There is no foam in cleansing balms. The butters, waxes and oils in the product will melt once it touches your skin.
It is not compulsory to include one into your skincare routine. So if you don't have or don't like to use it, it's absolutely ok!
Also known as makeup melter, using a cleansing balm is very easy. Take a dollop of product onto your palm and apply it on your skin.
Massage gently onto the skin so that it lifts off any makeup, dirt or grime.

Your skin will appear clean, clear and glowing.
It may contain:
Yes! I highly recommend you to use daily especially if you use makeup. Balms are mild and leave your skin soft and fully hydrated.
However, I do suggest you still use your cleanser that foams or contains surfactants to remove excess oil and dirt.
